Individual Therapy

I offer a secure, non-judgmental space where you can explore your feelings, thoughts, and behaviors, uncover patterns, and work toward your personal goals.

Individual Therapy in Utah or Colorado,

I offer personalized individual therapy, supporting adults who are working through mental health challenges, relationship struggles, or major life transitions. Individual therapy, sometimes called counseling or psychotherapy, gives you dedicated one-on-one time to focus on what is happening in your life and how you want things to change.

Working individually allows us to slow down and look closely at patterns, emotions, and experiences that may be affecting your well-being. Many people begin therapy when feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or uncertain about the next step in life. Therapy creates space to think clearly, understand what you are feeling, and begin moving toward healthier ways of living.

Issues Individual Therapy Can Help With

Individual therapy can help with many different concerns, including:

  • Anxiety and chronic stress

  • Depression or low motivation

  • Trauma and difficult past experiences

  • Relationship struggles

  • Faith transitions and identity questions

  • Life changes such as divorce, career shifts, or relocation

  • Burnout and emotional exhaustion

  • Self-esteem and personal direction

Many people begin therapy during periods of transition or uncertainty. Having a consistent place to talk openly can help restore clarity and stability when life feels unsettled.

My Approach to Therapy

My approach draws from well-researched psychological models that help people understand themselves and make meaningful changes.

These approaches include:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) for recognizing and shifting thought patterns

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) for building psychological flexibility and values-based living

  • Narrative Therapy for examining the stories we carry about ourselves

  • Internal Family Systems (IFS) for understanding the different parts of our inner life

Each of these methods offers structured ways to work through struggles while still honoring your unique history and perspective. Rather than forcing one rigid framework, I integrate these approaches based on what fits you best.
